I am trying to modify the Nivo-slider JavaScript code to use one of the effects that are built in to the slider. I have been playing around with this code for quite some time now with no success. The very bottom of the code below has some transition effect options. When I try to choose one, it works only from the 3rd slide on. Meaning the first slide has a 'fade' effect, second slide has a 'no effect' third slide has a 'slideLeft' effect, then from the fourth slide on, whatever effect I am trying to apply across the board is applied to the remaining slides.

I was wondering if anyone can help me understand what I am doing wrong? I am simply trying to pick a transition effect and apply it to all my slides...

The effects are already set up in the js, so you would just need to change/add the data-transition on your html page:

I tried that, the data-transition effects that I enter for the 'data-transition' attribute, don't effect the default 'effects' that come with the nivo-slider package. –  AnchovyLegend Nov 2 '12 at 21:07
