I'm developing an app in OS 5.0 which contains a table showing results and for this I've used what appears a quite popular bit of code which implements a Listfield and a TableRowManager. Each row is wider than the screen width and all the data displays and it generally functions well ... except for one quite annoying niggle.

If I scroll to the right, either via swipe gesture or using the nav button, the screen scrolls as expected, but scroll down to the next row and the focus returns to the far left of that row. What I need to happen is the position within the listfield is retained. In the calling screen (to which this Listfield is added), the Listfield is added inside a VerticalFieldManager. This is then added to a HorizontalFieldManager.

My HorizontalFieldManager has HORIZONTAL_SCROLL enabled, my VerticalFieldManager which houses the Listfield does not. Adding it has no effect. Each Manager uses parameter NO_SCROLL_RESET yet the scroll does get reset.

I'm a bit of a novice wrt BB coding, but I'm pretty sure I need to override a method of some sort but which one eludes me. I've searched over and over again on here and on other forums but to no avail. My hope is someone out there has experienced the same issue and has a solution.

You need to tell us what's inside the TableRowManager. Do you add focusable Fields? Take care of the blackberry behaviour when moving focus. –  Hithredin Nov 1 '12 at 16:35
    
Many thanks for taking the time to look into my issue. Have updated the question to add code. Apologies that it's not that minimal. There are no focusable fields. The list is doing it's job, displaying a list. It just happens that the list extends past the width of the screen. If I'm over to the end of the row and scroll down to the next row, focus is taken back to the start of the row. What I need to happen is focus to remain where I am within the row .. if you get me. If you run the code, you should see what I mean :) –  grendal100 Nov 2 '12 at 11:46
