glGenFramebuffers doesn't allocate framebuffer object! I can't get this small program to work.

I always get "frame_buffer is GL_FALSE!" printed to console... frame_buffer is always 0 (window-system default framebuffer) Is there any settings that need to be added to plist? Or am I missing something?

Please help.

You never call setCurrentContext: when context != nil.
Change:

if(!context && ![EAGLContext setCurrentContext:context]){

To:

if(!context || ![EAGLContext setCurrentContext:context]){

Short circuit evaluation is what's happening here. Your code checks (!context) first. Context is true so no point in executing the second term. Also, relying on left-most condition being evaluated first creates a maintenance risk in your code - what if somebody decides to add another clause to your if statement later on? –  Cross_ Nov 18 '13 at 3:00
