I am having difficulty getting a offscreen rendered texture to to be displayed. I have checked round the web and other questions and am clearly missing something.

I am new to OpenGL so may well be making some naive errors. It is part of a routine to add post processing using a shader to modify the firestor/secondlife viewer project to an equifisheye projection. My test code is based around the GLEW and GLUT framework using OpenGL 1.3 as the viewer is designed to run on older platforms.

The approach is:

  1. set up and initialise the FBO, Render buffers and textures to draw to.
  2. initilise various default settings for drawing the glutCube and glutTeapot :)
  3. The display function a) using the default framebuffer draws a rotating cube (works fine) b) the texture is then drawn to OUTPUT: all black and not the rotating cube.

You have not been to lazy to post! Your code does help. Thanks:) I suspected that there may be an error drawing the quad and cut and paste code from Nehro sample of a rotating cube. Now simplified to a rotating quad. In both cases the textured image varies from light to dark as it rotates so the rendering –  Tom Nov 3 '12 at 17:32
    
Sound like you forgot to disable lighting when drawing the quad with the rendered-to-texture. –  datenwolf Nov 3 '12 at 17:34
