This was an interview question and the game was explained using LEGO Bricks.

I was asked to play the game of Babylon. The game begins with 12 tokens, 3 in each of 4 colors. In Babylon, two players take turns combining two piles of tokens by placing one on top of the other, where piles can be combined if they have the same color token on top or the same height. A player wins if they are the last player able to combine two piles.

Question asked was that if I know who started the game, how can I calculate who'll win the game. (Player1 wins if it's Player2's turn and has no possible move left)

There were 12 blocks, 3 each of four different colors. For move 1, a player can pick any 2 pieces (size of each set will be 1/ pieces of same color). I asked loads and loads of questions... I didn't make it .. –  user1071840 Nov 9 '12 at 1:40
