I'm trying to make the camera freeze for 3 seconds when the player scrolls to the left or right. I've got the code working to scroll back as soon as you move the mouse back, but there must be a 3 second delay. Here's that I've got:

maybe a dirty fix, and not sure if it would work at all. But what happens if you put the scrolling method on a different thread, and when the code calls it to let the thread sleep for 3000ms? –  FlorisPrijt Nov 15 '12 at 14:07

Try use the StartCoroutine function from MonoBehaviour with a WaitForSeconds instruction:

...
StartCorountine(WaitForUnfreezeCamera());
...

IEnumerator WaitForUnfreezeCamera()
{
    yield return new WaitForSeconds(3f);
    // your code to unfreeze the camera.
}
