I'm beginning to program in Windows Phone 8 using C#/XAML. Currently I'm developing a quiz type WP8 app which has a question (textblock) and 4 options (in the form of buttons). What I'd like to do is, to display the images of those options in buttons. How am I gonna do that?

Please do check what I have started this is my DataEntry class:

As you can see, what I have accomplished so far is that it's just displaying the strings (answers) in the button. I'd like to know how to display its images that I called from my chords folder. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You're assigning a string to the button Content property, you should create an instance of an Image control (I don't know the namespace for Windows-Phone-8, Google it) and assign that to the Content of the button. –  BenCr Dec 4 '12 at 11:07

Try the following:

<Button Name="btnAnswer4" Click="Button_AnswerClick">
<Image Source="chords/image.png"></Image>
</Button>

I don't know whether adding Content="Answer4" will show the text over the image.

The 'random' part is to be realized by your ViewModel. Just use Binding for the Source property. –  Henk Holterman Dec 4 '12 at 11:14

If you want a round button I suggest using http://coding4fun.codeplex.com/ and their RoundButton which supports an ImagePath to be set. http://coding4fun.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=RoundButton&referringTitle=Documentation
