I'm new the xcode world and am having trouble finishing off my app.

I have a working search and when I segue to a detail view with title and image from the main table view everything works fine.

When I segue from the search results, no matter what the search result was I will get the original table order when it gets to the detail view.

To explain clearer say my table view list was blue, red, orange, yellow, green, dark grey, dark brown, dark purple, and I searched dark. In my results view I will have the list of all the darks and then when I click on the first in the list the detail view will actually show blue. second in the dark list will be red and so on...

I would really appreciate any help in getting this to work as I am slowly going insane trying to solve this!

I suspect that the sender in prepareForSegue: is a cell rather than a table. Log the value of [sender class] to be sure. –  Phillip Mills Dec 11 '12 at 13:06
