I am facing a trivial (i believe ) issue in JNI , which is to pass an Integer object from C to Java .

Here is the very simple code

Now my code collapses when i try to invoke objectMethod by the following code

meth1 returns an Integer, not a jstring –  njzk2 Dec 14 '12 at 13:52

You can check dump using ndk-stack from your SIGSEGV

The following line is wrong:

jstring str=(jstring) (*env)->CallObjectMethod(env,cls,meth1,intObject);

The second parameter is wrong, and since the method returns an Integer instance, you shouldn't assign it to a string variable.

The correct call probably is:

jobject result = (*env)->CallObjectMethod(env, thisObj, meth1, intObject);
