I've been searching the internet for literally hours trying to find a very simple example of serialization and deserialization with a JSON call in C#. After careful browsing and piecing together, I'd like to call a JSON (POST & GET) function in my webservice (see below).

Here's what I was able to piece together

This would be my service contract (IExecWebservice.svc)

I need help filling in the blanks so that the request URI is parsed properly to be passed into the JSON function and the reply json string be translated back as an xlms on the users browser. Any thoughts?

Update: I tried getting just the JSON section to work as a standalone C# class but I get that "Expected class..." error when I compile it.

What Am I doing wrong here? How can I get an XMLS output from this?

I'm a little unclear of what you are looking for? Do you want to serialize some JSON into a C# type, and vice versa? Is that all you are looking for? –  Josh Dec 21 '12 at 5:50
    
I've refined the question a bit. I need help filling in the blanks to properly parse my URI for the JSON services to POST and whose JSON output data object I can read or pass as an XLMS response for the browser. Maybe uploading my project may help. Any ideas where I can upload my .project for coders here too look at? –  Nanohurtz Dec 21 '12 at 7:29

This is good, but how do I use it in context of what I'm trying to do. I want to pass a data object to a URL extended from the JBoss/Rules Engine? Similarly, I want to be able to deserialize the response and pass it to another function to be read, parsed and written to either SQL or (in this case) the users browser as an XLMS response? –  Nanohurtz Dec 21 '12 at 7:40
    
While this post may theoretically answer the question, it would be preferable to include the essential parts of the answer here, and provide the link for reference (because several years later the resource may be unavailable or domain name may be for sale or the linked article may be deleted and so on and so forth). Thank's I don't like link responses. I've spent hours doing that and would like a hands-on response if all possible. I'd be happy if I can get the function.cs section of code to work as a standalone solutions I'd be incredibly happy. It will at least give me a working building block from which to encapsulate the rest of my webservice solution around. –  Nanohurtz Dec 21 '12 at 8:20
