I'm developing an application and I want to send an email without going through the default procedure & without the user interaction.

I have the following code, but it didn't work. I read more about the problem and I figured out that I should use "thread" or "AsyncTask ". However, I dunno how to use them exactly.

Here is the code:

So how can I use "thread" or "AsyncTask " to make it work?

because the code is not working with me. I'm pressing the send button but i didn't get the email. & I thought about threads because it is related to network. –  Alice Dec 27 '12 at 10:00

Use this code in android AsyncTask doInBackground method.

First check whether you have added the Internet permission in the manifest.

Then check if you have added 3 jars found to your Android Project

Did you get anything in the catch block, where you are sending the mail. Also at which device you are testing the app. I also have some problems with such kind of an app in devices above android4.0 –  Sahil Mahajan Mj Dec 27 '12 at 10:14

it was originally 4.0.4 but they released 4.1.2 and as I remember, I installed it. –  Alice Dec 27 '12 at 10:24
