I'm writing a native app that should only display a little triangle with a texture.
But unfortunately, it everytime only displays a white triangle.
My code is very simple.

First to load a tga Image:

Loading the texture:

Then to draw:

I know, that this code isnt optimized, but its only for debugging.

The logcat of my app prints:
successfully loaded tga [handle = 1, FILE_ID = "", width = 64, height = 128, depth = 32] :)

But the texture stays white.

Just while I was writing my question, I found the mistake:
Ist was so simple..

In the LoadTGA function I set:

glTexParameteri(GL_TEXTURE_2D, GL_TEXTURE_MIN_FILTER, GL_LINEAR_MIPMAP_LINEAR);  

because I copied this from one of my other opengl programs, where mipmapping is available. But as far as I know, android doesnt support it natively,
so i threw it out and forgot to cange the line to this:

glTexParameteri(GL_TEXTURE_2D, GL_TEXTURE_MIN_FILTER, GL_LINEAR);  

So that's it.
I hope that others don't run in the same mistake.

What do you mean by "Android doesn't support it natively"? Didn't you simply omit the required (in ES 2.0) call to glGenerateMipMaps? –  Paul-Jan Dec 31 '12 at 12:00

I'm using GLES 1.1 and i just saw that there is support for mipmaps in "glext.h", you're right, thanks! –  Malte Schmitz Dec 31 '12 at 12:14

But it does! In java-speak: gl.glTexParameterf(GL11.GL_TEXTURE_2D, GL11.GL_GENERATE_MIPMAP, GL11.GL_TRUE). Only ES1.0 is out of luck... That said, if you are targeting old hardware your current solution of not using mipmaps at all might be preferable. –  Paul-Jan Dec 31 '12 at 12:21
