I have written a little program that opens an UDP socket and receives some UDP packets. What I tried is that each packet is handled (order of the bytes is changed) by an own thread using fork-join, and then the changed packet is forwarded by udp to another system.

Here is the code:

the program compiles and runs fine, but after about 5 minutes it stops with this error message:

That's only 4 lines of the stacktrace, the exception class and message should be shown before that. –  greyfairer Jan 2 '13 at 15:26

It seems that your RecursiveAction has no stopping condition. In compute(), you should decide when spawning a new Switch, and when enough switch has been spawned.

Your code is spawning Switch for ever.
