I am having an activity, which display info of user and edit userinfo with image. When I try to change the image for the first time, the activity resumes. If I change the imge a 2nd time, the activity does not resume, it gives a staledata exception and below are the code and logs.

I didn't walk through your code, but this statement from the stacktrace should give you a clue: Caused by: Attempted to access a cursor after it has been closed – Andy Res Jan 3 '13 at 12:34
    
" android.database.StaleDataException: Attempted to access a cursor after it has been closed" means you are using a closed cursor (probably from the onResume method. I suggest you to clean up your post and focus on relevant code : onResume() + everything related to cursor) – ben75 Jan 3 '13 at 12:36
