I've imported the maven project of the Joda source (https://github.com/JodaOrg/joda-time) and tried to build the project. When I do I get the following stacktrace:

Also worth noting that the pom.xml file contains, in part, the following:

I'm not sure how to resolve this issue. Any suggestions?

What version of jodatime? It would help to include/link the source of ZoneInfoProvider. I found one but I don't think it's the same version: grepcode.com/file/repo1.maven.org/maven2/joda-time/joda-time/… –  Daniel Kaplan Jan 7 '13 at 21:37

It's looking for the path of the resource at org/joda/time/tz/data/ZoneInfoMap. Does that exist relative to your working directory? –  Daniel Kaplan Jan 7 '13 at 21:58

Go to run configuration > before launch > click the + sign > click 'maven goal' > find and add 'joda time: compile'

This can happen in the case you miss initialization:
