My project builds perfectly, but when running it stops automatically and shows a windows error message. In debugging mode, it shows:

We really need more information, but I'll try to answer this question as it is.

The debug version of the MSVC runtime fills newly allocated memory with 0xCD bytes. As your program is trying to read something at the address 0xcdcdcdcd, you're probably trying to dereference an uninitialized pointer in a class or structure.

The easiest way to find out which part of your code is doing this is to attach a debugger. Since you're working on Windows and presumably using Visual Studio, you might find the MSDN entry on Debugging helpful.

There are quite a few problems in there.

for(i = 0; i < 20; ++i){ 

That 20 should be N.

delete [] envelop_data; 
envelop_data = 0;

Don't use delete when you allocated with malloc. new & delete or free & malloc go together. Use new/delete in C++.

This has two more problems:

  1. You're not deallocating anything contained in envelop_data, so there's a memory leak here.
  2. You just allocated and filled that memory. Why are you deallocating it?

Next problem:

    tkns = strtok(NULL, " \t\n\r"); 
} 

Here you're trying to use envelop_data, which you just set to 0 a few lines earlier.
It won't work.

++i;

This statement serves no purpose at all.
