# interleaved columns

I am trying to produce a figure in R similar to

with columns containing numbers from two different datasets interleaved. I have most of the difficult stuff done, im using this code

but I cannot figure out how to make the columns interleaved as opposed to overlapping. any help is appreciated.

Here it is. You need to combine your two vectors into a matrix, by row, and use the `beside` parameter of `barplot()`:

First you need to reshape the data into a more useful long format using the reshape package.
