I am trying to make a brick breaker game in Pygame (with Python) but I am stuck at an error.

I have many different things to try to solve this, but I have not succeeded yet. Please help.

level1blocks is a list of images loaded in earlier, so when you loop over it there, b becomes each image, hence the error. What did you expect this to do? I also have no idea why you are looping over a copy of the list here. –  Lattyware Jan 12 '13 at 18:46

When you have the line

for b in level1blocks[:]:

you are going through each of the items in level1blocks rather than going through all the possible indices. Replace this line with

for b in range(len(level1blocks)):

This should fix your problem.
