I have been working on price table where, I want to convert the amount in number to words according to each currency type. Is there any library available in PHP to do the same.

Thanks for responding. But my problem is that, I want to convert amount in number to words. And each currency type uses different word format. For eg:100000.50 USD is one hundred thousand dollar fifty cents. But 100000.50 INR is One lakh Rupees fifty paise. –  user1441638 Jan 14 '13 at 8:42

You can also use pear extension for the same.It has multilingual support.

    require('Numbers/Words.php');

    $number = 637;
    $nw = new Numbers_Words();
    $numw = $nw->toWords($number);

    print $numw; // prints six hundred thirty-seven       

?>

toWord() also takes optional locale specific parameter such as toWord(78,'fr') which prints soixante-dix-huit(seventy eight in french)
