I have the following tables:

I have created the following query to get an XML Hierarchy:

Which creates the Following XML:

However, I want to write the Query so that I can have unlimited children of the FACT_TYPE. I was working with the dbms_xmlgen.getXmlType(dbms_xmlgen.newContextFromHierarchy()) function in Oracle and I can't seem to get it to work with the services piece. I can get it to work directly off of the DBO.FACT_TYPES table as such:

So I tried creating a function that I pass in the Service ID and it returns the inner XML that should go in the Hierarchy of the Service:

Well that's close, but it's the same issue I'm getting with the function that I wrote. I'm getting duplicates with the fact inside the service because the fact is related to the service. –  Matthew Jan 15 '13 at 14:19
    
@Matthew do you have any sample data? as the only reason i can see for duplicates would be if there were multiple rows in FACT_TYPE_SVC for the same FACT_ID + SVC_ID combination. –  DazzaL Jan 15 '13 at 14:45
