I have code written that works fine.The code involves transferring images as well as text to excel cell and works fine on one of clients computer her get the error:

The client is using excel 2002, so not sure what to do!

2002 looks like you are referencing the wrong version / assembly shouldn't that be ver 10.x.x ..? –  DJ KRAZE Jan 24 '13 at 22:14

Here is a quick example on how to latebind with Excel. This post also covers the following

  1. Add a New worksheet (As per your request)
  2. Rename the newly added worksheet
  3. Write to a cell

I have commented the code so you shouldn't have any problem understanding it :)

The message is pretty clear; the version of Excel (2007) your application is built to require is more recent than the version of Excel (2002) the client has installed.

Upgrade your client to a newer version of Excel (2007), or downgrade the Excel interop assembly your app requires (if you can find one for that old a version of Excel) or switch to using COM automation for Excel instead.

You need to downgrade from version 12 (the one your app requires, according to the exception being raised) to the one used in Excel 2002 (10.x, I think?). I'm not sure how else to say this, though; I said it in my answer. :-) –  Ken White Jan 24 '13 at 23:15
