I am trying to add NLog my Web Api project with Autofac. But i have problems.

After installed NLog package from NuGet, i added following files to my project. (Because of following different posts and examples it might be confused)

I couldn't make it work and every change causes different errors.

Current code cause error below.

First, your NLogModule will provide instances of ILogger so the NLogger (builder.RegisterType<NLogger>().As<ILogger>()) registration should not be necessary (and might cause trouble). Remove it.

Next, have you got the module to work without the fancy [Logger] attribute support?

Third, instead of using e.Component.Activator.LimitType as the "declaring type", use p.Member.DeclaringType from within the parameter lambda. Read up on my answer to this related question.

Thanks for answer but after i applied your answer i got error below: "Unable to cast object of type 'NLog.Logger' to type 'TestAPI.Logging.ILogger'" I am not sure but i think, Autofac trying to send NLog.Logger as parameter to Controller for ILogger parameter. – bahadir arslan Jan 28 '13 at 14:04
Ah yes, you have some bugs in your module. I think you should use new NLogger(...) instead of LogManager.GetLogger(...). The dependency dictates that it needs a service of type ILogger and that is what the module must provide. – Peter Lillevold Jan 28 '13 at 14:11
