I'm trying to Decrypt an byte array and I got this error:

Length of the data to decrypt is invalid.

The error occurs at this point:

int decryptedByteCount = cryptoStream
                        .Read(plainTextBytes, 0, plainTextBytes.Length);

here's the complete code

Side note: I know you are taught to "comment your code", but please only do it when it's useful. //Close both streams is a completely useless comment and only clutters the code. The code that your comment applies to in that case is self-commenting. I know the streams are closing, why repeat that? –  Dave Zych Jan 28 '13 at 17:39

You should also look into using a using statement to dispose of anything IDisposable (like your streams) as that will guarantee the streams get closed even when exceptions occur –  JG in SD Jan 28 '13 at 17:48
    
are you certain that the encrypting side uses the same parameters? It is also the TripleDES algorithm in CBC mode? do you know if a padding scheme was used and if so, which one? –  Peter Elliott Jan 29 '13 at 5:17

the error is here,

        MemoryStream fileStreamOut = new MemoryStream();
        int size;
        byte[] bufferOut = new byte[buffer.Length];
        do {
            size = zipInStream.Read(bufferOut, 0, bufferOut.Length);
            fileStreamOut.Write(bufferOut, 0, size);
        } while (size > 0);
        zipInStream.Close();
        fileStreamOut.Close();
        fileStreamIn.Close();
        return bufferOut;

this is the unzip method and the size of the bufferout is bigger than should be
