I am facing a major problem with my selectors in Android Expandable list view.

Here is my code Expandable list view.

When I expand the groups I change the selector bar color, and vice versa.

The problem I am facing is that when I return back from any activity or scroll up & down rigorously my expandable list view then the selector color automatically changes even if the group is selected/unselected

If anybody presses on the top of the screen (of device) then also selector changes

I am totally confused about the behaviour it is showing to me and not able to find out what is happening. Please help if anybody understands

You are using a wrong set of array values, simply use this -

if( getChildrenCount( groupPosition ) == 0 ) {
        indicator.setVisibility( View.INVISIBLE );
    } else {                        
        indicator.setVisibility( View.VISIBLE );
        if(isExpanded){
            indicator.setImageResource(R.drawable.expander_min);
            indicator2.setBackgroundResource(R.drawable.list_selected);
            mbtnMenu.setVisibility(View.VISIBLE);
        }else{
            indicator.setImageResource(R.drawable.expander_max);
            indicator2.setBackgroundResource(R.drawable.list_unselected);
            mbtnMenu.setVisibility(View.INVISIBLE);
        }
    }

The issue is in your getGroupView() method, where you are trying to set the backgrounds for indicator and indicator2. Drawable's setState() method doesn't explicitly set the background - it only sets an array of resources to be used on the UI when responding to state-changing events. You must also call invalidateSelf() after setState() to force the Drawable to redraw with the new resources, which may or may not solve this issue. I recommend just using setBackground() or setBackgroundResource() on the Views themselves. Something like this:

Dear i face this like problem in expandable list view. i my problem i click in any parent item always scroll whole listview.may be my solution help.

Just check your xml file when u use the expandable listview.

<ExpandableListView
        android:id="@+id/expandableListView1"
        android:layout_width="match_parent"
        android:layout_height="wrap_content"
        android:transcriptMode="alwaysScroll" 
        android:layout_toRightOf="@+id/buttonBuyAmazon" >
    </ExpandableListView>

android:transcriptMode="alwaysScroll" change this with normal else diseable ok
