It properly builds and runs but after I typed in the txt file, it waits about 45secs and then says: "exe has stopped working".

No, we can't debug your code. That's up to you to do. Once you have run a debugger, and found the line where it crashes, you can come back and ask again if you don't understand why you're getting the error. –  us2012 Feb 25 '13 at 22:54

Using while (!eof()), using new[] instead of a standard container, using the wrong form of delete. That should get you started. A[i] + "\n" can't be good, either. –  chris Feb 25 '13 at 22:57

You need to use delete[] for arrays. –  Neil Kirk Sep 29 at 3:21
