This is part of the code for a Binary Search tree that I am making.I am facing a problem when I run the delete function i.e for some nodes, i am getting the error "testing.exe has stopped working".testing is name of my main file.I have checked again and again but I don't seem to find the problem.Can anyone see the problem?Thanks

There's not enough info. Do you declare an instance of BinaryTree and then populate it, then do a search? –  Peter L. Feb 26 '13 at 16:32

Run the program in debug mode (F5 in Visual Studio), that will show you the line that it crashes on. –  Turch Feb 26 '13 at 16:33

1. Why don't you make a SSCCE? 2. How about adding some comments to that code? I'm unable to read it... 3. How about first learning debugging the good ol' way, by printing stuff? It's a bit more work, instead of asking others to do it for you, but it's rewarding... –  Mihai Todor Feb 26 '13 at 16:44

In both cases where you delete temp1 and temp, they both point to the same address.

There's definately more than one problem with your code.

Assume the key to be removed is stored at the root:

    temp2=temp->Parent;         // temp2 will be NULL here 
    if (temp2->RightChild==temp)
    {
      temp2->RightChild=temp->LeftChild;  // thus dereferencing NULL either here
      (temp->LeftChild)->Parent=temp2;
    }
    else if (temp2->LeftChild==temp)
    {
      temp2->LeftChild=temp->LeftChild;   // ... or here
      (temp->LeftChild)->Parent=temp2;
    }

    delete temp1;
    delete temp;
    return;
  }

Aditionally taking a look at the outline of your code the case handling seems to be incorrect:
