# How can I improve the time taken by this DP solution?

I am trying to solve a SPOJ question-http://www.spoj.com/problems/MINVEST/ but am getting time limit exceeded. Can you help me optimize it?

Its like a knapsack in a loop. Using the bounds and conditions I calculated the max answer to be 50000000 `((1+max_int_rate)^max_years)*max_amt` and hence allocated the dp array with 50000 integers since the bond costs are always a multiple of 1000. This reduced my inner loop executions. I also changed all cout and cin to printf and scanf. I can't think of any more optimizations. Could you please tell me what I am missing?
