I am trying to insert data to a listview which is in A.class the data will be coming from an edit text from B.class I have 2 Tables Here are my codes

This is my DbAdapter

this is my A.class where im trying to call the data inserted in B.class

Change

String data1 = food.getText().toString();
String data2 = calories.getText().toString();
mySQLiteAdapter.insert1(data1, data2);
updateList();  

to

String data1 = food.getText().toString();
String data2 = calories.getText().toString();
mySQLiteAdapter.open();
mySQLiteAdapter.insert1(data1, data2);
mySQLiteAdapter.close();
updateList();
