I am fetching the averagePower from SClistener by implementing this:-

    Float32 vloume = [[SCListener sharedListener] averagePower];

Then after some timeinterval there i record the sound by AVAudioRecorder and play the audio by DiracAudioPlayer (Or AVAudioPlayer) and then after finishing the sound i notice that value of below line is static..i.e not fluctuation value.. So it is not able to detect the average power for the sound

Float32 percentage = [[SCListener sharedListener] averagePower]; 

P.S For recording i am using :-

[[AVAudioSession sharedInstance] setCategory: AVAudioSessionCategoryPlayAndRecord error: nil];

and settings as :-

 NSDictionary *recordSettings = [NSDictionary dictionaryWithObjectsAndKeys:
                                        [NSNumber numberWithInt:kAudioFormatAppleIMA4],
                                        [NSNumber numberWithInt:2],
                                        [NSNumber numberWithFloat:16000.0],
                                        [NSNumber numberWithInt:AVAudioQualityHigh],
                                        [NSNumber numberWithInt:16],

why this problem is happening..can anyone help me please

I think AVAudioRecorder and SCListener don't go together well. See warning on SCListener site: – Nirav Bhatt Mar 22 '13 at 12:51
