I've got a client that connects and it will send a string to the host so the host knows what to do with that packet. Here is how the client starts

Once the client is connect it will then keep running this

Now this does work, but not the IF statements, as in the .data.equalsIgnoreCase( "position" ) the .data.equalsIgnoreCase( "connect" ) and the data.equalsIgnoreCase( "" ), the server will send out to the client this

data received is in run: 250:300
data received is in run: 51 (depends on how long the client has connected for)

but the server shouldn't be sending out the ID anymore, just the position of my object which is 250:300

Also i did a trace for the server, it is receiving just position from the client after it has connected, still confused on why it keeps sending out the ID???

that is above the while loop, data = ""; is before it receives a new string from the client. "was for a comment, but was deleted" –  Canvas Mar 26 '13 at 18:03
