libc++abi.dylib: terminate called throwing an exception

Above is the error, below is my code. What i am doing is i have two different plist and png sprite sheet files, and both contain different tiles but have a ship and the ui. This is in my load scene layer, basically in the main menu layer it pushes an int which is the level number then the load scene layer it opens the sprite sheet file according to the level amount. This only crashes when i open level 1 then level 2 then go back and open level 1, or vice versa. This has been causing a headache for a while and would be grateful for any assistance regarding my issue.

adding below code before replacing the scene to the loadlevel fixes this problem

[[CCSpriteFrameCache sharedSpriteFrameCache] removeSpriteFrames];
 [[CCTextureCache sharedTextureCache] removeAllTextures];

sounds like you have images with the same (spriteframe) name in both texture atlases, this ambiguity can lead to cocos2d referencing the "wrong" frame – LearnCocos2D Mar 28 '13 at 9:19
