I am checking the different types of Java Garbage Collectors, I used the following command to output the G1 GC details on Debian (squeeze) system:

$ java -XX:+PrintCommandLineFlags -XX:+PrintGCDetails -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:+UseG1GC -version 

-XX:MaxHeapSize=130024448 -XX:+PrintCommandLineFlags -XX:+PrintGCDetails

I can see in G1 the heap layout is in equal-sized chunks (regions), then what does the character F and Y mean, and what is the 17% usage used for?

I also output the (default I think) GC details using the following command:

How can I know what type of GC does this default one belongs to? a CMS one or a parallel one?
