Hi i'm making this little project in wich i need to connect a button to a method that will set an specific frame (stored in a list) as the central widget of a QMainWindow, i've called twice the method nuevaEscena() to create two scenes(2 frames are created), this is what i've tryied but when i click the button "Escena #" it seems like the signal is not emmited,, placed a print to check and it doesn't print nothing when button is clicked, it only print when nuevaEscena() is invoked , also i'm not sure if the way i've handled to show the frames is the right one, thanks here is the code:

You should only paste the parts of the code relevant to the question –  JBernardo Apr 1 '13 at 23:19

This is what you should do:

MyButton.clicked.connect(lambda: self.mostrarEscena(self.escenaActual))

You need a lambda function otherwise you will call the method and pass the resulting object instead.

Using this binding with clicked is much simpler than using connect with signals
