I have a project in mips and its about decimal to binary conversion I managed to write the code and its working fine but as you all know when we make decimal to binary conversion on paper we write result in reverse and thats the key point because my program writes 1 and 0 in normal order and because that it just prints on screen I cant give a command to reverse it.

How can I reverse it should I store varibles in array and reverse it or use stacks please my knowlage is very low(as you can see from the code) and I am stuck with it.Help me please.

Your title says "binary to decimal", but your description and code implies "decimal to binary", so I'll assume the latter.

There's no need for a buffer to display a number as a binary string. It's just a matter of shifting and masking, which you can do in any order you want.

For example, the following code would print a value in its binary representation, with the leading zeroes omitted:

Converting this into MIPS assembly should be a fairly simple task.

I fixed that mistake I need decimal to binary conversion but because that I print one's and zero's with li $v0, 1 in a loop I dont know how to reverse it. – Bugra Sezer Apr 3 '13 at 12:36
That's because you're dividing by 2 and checking the remainder, which in effect is the same (albeit slower) as ANDing with 1 and shifting right by 1. As I explained in my answer you can just as well process the bits in the opposite order, thereby getting a correct printout. – Michael Apr 3 '13 at 12:44

its done I didnt use the mask method I tried to put varibles in memory(sw) and tried to read them(lw) then I planned to reverse the reading process(lw from the last one until the first one) but in after I write reading writing memory code I accidently used a method and my new printing loop now writes binary in reverse(correct form) it happened this way because I read 1 and 0 in opposite order anyway you are the only one who gave answers to that also the solution is here so I gave you question answer.Thank you... – Bugra Sezer Apr 3 '13 at 13:11
