basiclly i have a chat application that i send sms messages between clients with the SmsManager but i to be able to send longer messages than it can. I read that it can only send something about 40-60 letters but i want to sendm messages like 200-400 notes So is there a way to do it with it?

Ideally you should not send messages via SMS, use GCM instead. –  Shrikant Apr 4 '13 at 10:30

Have you checked the ´divideMessage()´ and ´sendMultipartTextMessage()´ methods, as described in developer.android.com/reference/android/telephony/…. –  guanabara Apr 4 '13 at 10:33

I have created one demo for you.. i think it might help you..

it will devide your message in parts and send it one by one...

this code will also give you a send and delivery notification. ( this send and delivery notification is additional code, but somewhere it is use full for you )
