I need to write a recursive towers of hanoi program, which I have done, but it needs to output the positions of the discs represented by stars and that's what I'm having trouble with. It needs to output a picture representation of the discs' location every time a move is made. I wrote code to do this for 3 discs, but I need it to be more flexible and work for 3, 4, or 5. Here is the code I have so far.

What exactly is your question? Are you having a problem with your code? What is it printing out that you don't want it to? –  Xymostech Apr 8 '13 at 2:00
    
It prints what I want it to now, but I need to adjust it so that it will work for 3, 4, and 5 discs. Now it only works for 3, because I manipulated the out put, what I would like to do is come up with some loops for the output to make the code more flexible. –  Emily Ann Hall Apr 8 '13 at 2:05
