I am looking for a way to stream a GstBuffer to a custom VLC application. The VLC application is written by a team member, which connects to the Gstreamer application. The VLC application then requests to stream the video which should start a Gstreamer stream() method to send the data back down. It will eventually be a live stream from a webcam, but currently we cannot even get the videotestsrc or a static file to transmit.

We are using an appsink to grab the buffers. We imagined we could just send them using the C++ send() command. This is going to be on an embedded board, so we are stuck with the capabilities of that, being a Gstreamer 0.10 application, so there are no GstMemoryMaps that we can use to read the buffer. I am trying to send the guint8 down, and we receive data, however it is unplayable. Also the reason that we can't use the UDP or TCP sink functions is the embedded board (a LeopardBoard DM368) does not handle those streams correctly. Online I found sources of people creating a SDP file and making it work, however I cannot seem to make it work. If that was working, we can edit the code to the VLC application to work off that instead.

Also, the VLC application is written for Windows.
