Below is the script / function which parses the xml posted below. The code workes fine on python3 and when i ported to 2.6 ts giving below error

what could be the isuue here ?

i have solved the above question with below code , I am not able to put below code as an answer. Also please let me know if any one knows a better way to solve the same

what is good to replace below lines passed = len(test.findall(".//result[@type='PASS']")) failed = len(test.findall(".//result[@type='FAIL']")) –  user2190483 Apr 12 '13 at 8:00

Python 2.6 doesn't support XPath (it was introduced in ElementTree 1.3 which shipped with 2.7.

So you should either upgrade your Python 2 to 2.7, or modify your code to avoid XPath.
