when you drag the label it just displays it in the upper left corner of the JPanel (board) This is my code. But the code that I copied from is working.

So why did you change the original code if it was working? We have no idea what kind of functionality you are trying to change/enhance so we can't make any suggestions to you. The general suggestion is to start with the working code. Make a simple change and test it. When it stops working then you know exactly what you changed and can then fix it. – camickr Apr 23 '13 at 15:26
    
Fixed it. It happens that I overridden the setLocation() method 'cause Piece is a JLabel. And Piece hides the x and y variables of JLabel. – user2310244 Apr 24 '13 at 13:48
