Background Info: basically I'm writing a program that allows the user to load two excel files into the program in order to compare them and easily point out the differences. The excel data is stored in dataTables for each excel file. The dataTables have the following fields: Name, IP Address, Chassis Name, Occupied Slots, and a few others. The excel files represent weekly data dumps from a data center. One excel file represents the current week, and the other represents the previous week. I have already implemented methods to determine what entries have been removed or added between the two excel files.

My problem is implementing a method to check for changes within a row a data. The name column would be the key and the remaining columns would be the basis of comparison, however I need this to be implemented dynamically because the excel formats could potentially change from week to week, such as adding new columns for new information.

What I need it to do is compare rows of each dataTable that have matching names and add the respective row to a new dataTable if they are not equivalent. I don't know how to do this in a dynamic way to account for potential changes in column count.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

its all on there now...The method I have yet to implement is addAddedData. Also, the BindingSource stuff scattered throughout is just for a live search text box. –  scryptic1 May 16 '13 at 18:57
