I have this code about a Server-Client NTP project I'm working on... I initialize the socket but I get java.net.SocketException: Socket is not connected this error. Any clues?

Can anyone please help me?

It is these lines here:

   InputStream  in = sock.getInputStream(); 
   OutputStream out = sock.getOutputStream();
   PrintWriter w = new PrintWriter(out);   //buffer
   Scanner s = new Scanner(in);
   SimpleDateFormat time = new SimpleDateFormat("HH.mm.ss.");

Put them after the thread is created in the while loop (Server class). It seems you are trying to use the client before the socket has been accepted.

Indeed, you try to create streams before connection is established. It has nothing to do with the client though –  BlacKow May 17 '13 at 4:21
    
Still doesn't work... I'm gettin java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect –  pswle_ole May 17 '13 at 8:39
    
When I run the program I get the output: "Client time is: 12.25.21." Connection may be refused if you have an instance of that program already running, thus blocking the port. I have seen this code twice on stack overflow not sure if we can debug everything. –  Tiltyard May 17 '13 at 11:27
