Why am I getting this exception. The private key is not present in x509 certificate This is to generate a username with nonce+ 2 binary security tokens(one for the usercertificate and one for the server). My user certificate has a private key but the server certificate does not have one. This is for Asymmetric binding.

In the custom credentials class. After it finishes WriteTokenCore for Usernametoken it goes to the calling method. which is mhs.geteligibilty. First of all I picked up this code from stackoverflow and trying to use it generated my needed soap xml. (usernametoken 2 binary security tokens) –  user575219 May 23 '13 at 18:04
    
First of all can I do asymmetricbinding as menthoned in this wsdl service100.emedny.org:9047/MHService?wsdl. They have provided me with usercertificate (public+private) server certificate(public) –  user575219 May 23 '13 at 18:14
    
I've had trouble with this, too. In my case, the problems stemmed from not having rights to access the private key and/or not finding them while calling this line: proxy.ClientCredentials.ServiceCertificate.SetDefaultCertificate If you run the program "as administrator" and it finds the private key, you know it's a rights issue and you can fix that via several methods. Of course, make sure you've got the pvk or pfx installed in the LocalMachine/My folder, too. –  Brian May 24 '13 at 9:56
