I have a spring application that uses Hibernate Envers (latest version) to update the underlying table. The problem is that for some reason Hibernate Envers is not incrementing the revision_field_name column, causing a database exception because the primary key of the table is a combination of a classic int id(NOT INCREMENTAL) and this column. So the first time it inserts 1 - 1 and the second time it tries to insert the same numbers (1 - 1) causing the database error.

Do you have a custom revision entity? How are revision numbers generated? Is the revision number in the revision entity auto-incremented? –  adamw May 28 '13 at 15:01
