I'm trying to make an application that creates a database file that keeps track of workouts. You press a button labeled "New Database" and get the Save File dialog to create the .db file for SQLite. The table name is from a textbox on a WPF control So far, I've got just about the whole done... except one line that continues to test my patience. The whole code is below:

It's saying my table argument in da.Update(table) is not formatted correctly. This is because of my date field in the database... it doesn't like what I'm feeding it. How do I correctly format and type the date field so that the data adapter doesn't get an error?

Your problem is that in your CREATE TABLE statment you declared the date column as type Integer. Then later you declare the date field as a String.

I'm not exactly sure WHY you would declare a date as an integer (or as a primary key) especially because it seems that you could have MANY duplicates for people who work out more than once a day.

Anyway, on to the solution: You need to change your CHANGE TABLE command to the following.

        }

This creates the table with a field that accepts input of type string and will take care of the input string not in correct format error.
