Now I still don't understand how to select the video device I want. With the EnumerateDevices() function I return the enumerator (I think a kind of vector with all the devices), but how do I use it before the PrepareOutputFile() (that I have to write) ?!

See Selecting a Capture Device on MSDN. You are basically doing what fist code snippet there suggests. Have a look further - it guides you what to do next, in particular IMoniker::BindToObject is the call which gets you filter instance for your capture graph.

I do not understand the last piece of code: 'IBaseFilter pCap = NULL; hr = pMoniker->BindToObject(0, 0, IID_IBaseFilter, (void*)&pCap); if (SUCCEEDED(hr)) { hr = m_pGraph->AddFilter(pCap, L"Capture Filter"); }' Should I place it on the Main function or inside the DisplayInformation() one? The m_Graph is the same as my IGraphBuilder *graph? –  Edoardo Jun 7 '13 at 10:03
    
You get IMoniker when you enumerate objects, as soon as you get pMoniker you can use its BindToObject already - to create actual filter. Or, you can do it any time later as long as you are holding the interface. –  Roman R. Jun 7 '13 at 10:08

Moniker is a sort of a shortuct here. You get on hands a named object, which - via BindObject method - can get you the real device if/when needed. –  Roman R. Jul 16 '13 at 20:08
