While trying to embed a JavaScript code to my webpage (hosted in Google Sites) , I get :

Failed to load external url

Or this :

The JavaScript file is hosted in my webpage (in the MyCabbinet section) :

https://sites.google.com/site/bestbookreviewever/mycabinet/modernizr-2.0.6.js

but I keep getting the same result, even though it exists on my page .

Any idea how to fix this ?

Try to go to that url, you'll see the file contents don't display, this is the issue. With just http:// it's serving up the file for download, and not serving it as a text/javascript file – Nick R Jun 21 '13 at 13:55

Host the file somewhere else? I'm not really familiar with Google Sites, but I did find this : productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/sites/-dei7Nm5o6o don't know if it will be of any value to you. – Nick R Jun 21 '13 at 14:05
