I get 401 when i tried to convert it for the stream api: "https://stream.twitter.com/1/statuses/filter.json". I will really appreciate any help. See code below:

I followed the advise on that post: "try include your query string to baseString" (you can see it in my code) but unfortunately that didn't help. –  user1475697 Jun 26 '13 at 17:28

I tried to use your code but without having the complete class and have a knowledge about what is this.DataSource and this.GetQuery() it seems hard to help you.

Let me suggest using an external twitter streaming API like Tweetinvi which possess a project called Streaminvi that has a class FilteredStream that will do the job for you.

Here is how you can use it :

// Create a Token to access Twitter
IToken token = new Token("userKey", "userSecret", "consumerKey", "consumerSecret");
// Adding Tracks filters
stream.AddTrack("HelloMartha");
stream.AddTrack("TrackNumber2!");

stream.StartStream(token, x => Console.WriteLine(x.Text));
