Here is the code, something funny happens when I run it. First an audio input device is found, then it prints No audio input device found. Then it encounters an error using the audio player. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Would really appreciate!!

Have you checked that your device ID (the second input to audiodevinfo) is correct for both cases? It is 0 for the first case (which positively identifies a device) and 2 for the second case which does not identify a device. I considered posting this as an answer, but I am not familiar enough with audiodevinfo –  Schorsch Jun 26 '13 at 18:45
