I want to have text labels instead of numerical on the axis labels of Google Charts.How can I archive this ? The result should look like this (example bubble chart):

I found this example somewhere here on stackoverflow, but now i can't find it anymore. Anyway the answer there, was incomplete and not working. It didn't contain the whole HTML and had undifined variables. It is also important to set the axis stepping, otherwise you see only every second label or every 10th ...

Here is the complete HTML + JS source to create the chart above.

It contains converting the labels on both axis to strings (defined in an array). It also contains setting the axis steps, so that really all of the labels are visible.

Instead of having numeric values in labels you can have string values as you specified in your screen shot. To do this you need to insert

format:"product"

in vaxis options and

format:"customer"

in haxis options.

Hi. Thanks for your contribution. Your are right that produces the same output. But I was actually assuming, that the names are not trivial. I have shown only some example names. In reality the names should have more realistic names like: customer[1] = 'Microsoft', customer[2]='Apple', customer[3]='Google', etc... –  Kenyakorn Ketsombut Jul 4 '13 at 6:40
