I'm trying to do a calculator program in iOS, I'm a beginner to iOS and I have so far done the basic operations. But it has some limitation it fails when you mix 2 or more operator at once like, if you press 10+5= it works fine but if you press 10+5-3 the code fails to calculate, the display changes to 5 as soon as you click -, I know the error its because I have given separate methods to add, subtract, divide and multiply so it doesnt store the result of previous operation when next operator is pressed. In order to work for the code I need to put a code to calculate when the digit button is pressed. But if I put a condition inside the digitPressed as per my code for eg: if(choice==1){//for addition} it will affect the conditions on the buttonAdd as well. So can you give me any other means of checking without affecting the actions of operator buttons like buttonAdd. I'm new to iOS so I am not sure what other methods are available. Also I have give result value as double so it always displays five zeros for eg 2+3 should be just 5 but it gives 5.00000. Is there a function to check and remove the zeros on the end after decimal??

ya, but not in that detail, i dont need algorithm for solving regular expression like prefix and postfix, but just to perform continous operation on mixed operators –  Sonu P Jul 23 '13 at 16:57
    
Anyway I have now accomplished the task with the help of an extra function which checks and stores previous operation result, now it works perfectly fine :) –  Sonu P Jul 24 '13 at 14:30
